- Now, is it really a greeting?! I’ve
heard it is a kind of an f-word in Bulgarian, isn’t
it?!
- Well,it’s really difficult to be explained…
Actually it is really a dirty phrase but in Vidin it is something
like a greeting and a wish for health and fertility, you know!
- Uau! Such a nice expression!!! It really has
to do something with the Bulgarian guys but I met at least
a couple of Romanians talking in Bulgarian not only words
but whole phrases! Could you imagine?
- Hm… I really think the Bulgarians are
not so bad – they are a little bit crazy and noisy but
funny, too!
- Talking in Bulgarian in Romania?!?
- You know the Italian boy,Ludovico? Even he
greeted his friends saying “Ebanie”!
- Really? You mean it has become an international
word?! Doesn’t it bother the process of studying?
- No! Just the opposite – everybody is
laughing , screaming “ebanie”,talking and enjoying
their stay here!
- I do not think it is because of the word!
Am I wrong?
- A friendship could last forever, you know.
And here is happening something else – both
education and fun are international. Baia Mare became not
only a camp but temporary a second home for most of the students.
And “ebanie” was just the right sign to show everybody
what freedom is about.
- I really hope that next year being at the
camp will be even more interesting than this year’s
one!
- Could it be better?
- Yup, for sure! Someone will welcome you by
screaming “Ebanie”.
